Soma 350mg or Soma 500mg medicine is used to treating the symptoms of musculoskeletal pain. In addition to physical and rest therapy, it is used to treat the pain and injury of skeletal muscles. Soma medicine blocks the pain sensation between the brain and the nerves. You can use soma alone or with other medicines - 

  • This drug belongs to a class called Skeletal Muscle Relaxants.
  • Soma is not recommended for children below the age of 16 or geriatric patients. 

Soma 350mg or Soma 500mg should be only used for short periods of time ( up to two or three weeks). There is no confirmation of its benefits in long-term use.  Most injuries to skeletal muscles are short-term. 

How to take Soma 350mg or Soma 500mg 

Take Soma medicine with or without food as your doctor ask. Do not increase the dose by yourself.  Take this medicine three times a day or at bedtime. Keep in mind that you will need to take your dose as prescribed by your doctor.Do not take this medicine for long time than prescribed.

It will not improve your condition but the chance of side effects increases.If you stop taking this medicine all of sudden you will have withdrawal symptoms. Such as trouble sleeping, headache, stomach cramps, and nausea. Concern with a doctor if you feel such symptoms. 

Remember these things before taking this medicine - 

Do not use Soma If you have Meprobamate Or Carisoprodol Allergies. Talk with your doctor if you ever had -

  • Liver disease
  • A seizure 
  • Concern with the doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Not recommended for those who are above the age of 65. 
  • Regular use of drugs/alcohol in the past.

  • Muscle stiffness

Some mild effects go away within a few days or in a couple of weeks. If they are worse discuss them with the doctor. 

Storage - Store this medicine at room temperature. Keep medicines away from light, moisture, pets, and children. Do not store in the kitchen and bathroom. When this product expires or is no longer needed, properly throw it away.
